I am passionate about leveraging AI to solve real-world problems and drive innovation. My expertise lies in Generative AI, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and MLOps. I'm also quite intruigued by Reinforcement Learning and Agentic AI and have been developing my skills through my coursework at NUS.
My journey spans 5+ years as a Data Scientist delivering cutting-edge AI and ML solutions across various industries like Oil and Gas, Mining, Banking, Retail and Telecom. During my time at WWT, I excelled at working in cross-functional teams, across multiple time-zones and implementing cutting-edge solutions for our clients. Currently, I am a Research Intern at Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART), developing an online meta-learning system for adaptive algorithm selection in contextual bandit settings.
A selection of impactful projects demonstrating expertise in AI/ML solutions
Research on whether an online algorithm for policy selection can adapt to unknown reward function shapes without prior knowledge of which policy learns the best. A meta-bandit/expert observes MSE (or Doubly Robust MSE) signal to adaptively select from a portfolio of arm selecting policies — linear (LinUCB/LinTS), polynomial, and NeuralTS (NTK-at-init features) — each round, to consistently outperform any single fixed policy across diverse reward functions.
Mitigated risk of $10M+/year due to safety incidents at ADNOC by developing a comprehensive RAG agent with automated graph generation on top of Text2SQL engine to visualize latest trends and analyze hazardous events.
Minimized safety risks and operation downtime for PTFI by developing real-time anomaly detection models deployed on edge computing devices with optimized latency of 4 fps using TensorRT.
